Downtown Aurora has celebrated a milestone two decades in the making. At a recent groundbreaking ceremony, Mayor Richard C. Irvin, city officials, and Danny Rezko, President of DAC Development, gathered to mark the start of Residences at Eastbank — the first new development in downtown Aurora in 20 years.

The building will sit on the east bank of the Fox River, next to Broadway (IL Route 25) in the heart of the downtown district. Plans call for five floors and 258 apartments, served by a parking garage with 310 spaces. Residents will enjoy private balconies along with resort-style amenities including a swimming pool and a dog park.

A project like this does more than add homes — it signals renewed momentum for a downtown ready for its next chapter, and Encore is proud to be part of building it.
