Construction at 2423 S State Street in the Near South Side has reached its fifth and final floor, a key structural milestone for the boutique residential building Encore is delivering for developer City Pads. The project is the second phase of a two-building plan known as Common McCormick.
In partnership with co-living operator Common, the two buildings together provide shared living suites totaling more than 100 private bedrooms. This second building rises one story taller than its already-open neighbor at 2401 S State while occupying a smaller footprint. Residents will find all-inclusive, furnished suites, a rooftop amenity deck, and a highly transit-oriented location steps from multiple bus routes and the CTA Green Line.
